Names do Matter
YaHshua or Jesus?

Let’s cut right to the bone of the matter, no long diatribes or complicated research, just straight and simple, right from your own Bible. So, open your bible and read the following verses, verse written during the time of the greatest understanding, the last writings by the Apostle John:   Revelation 2:3; 3:5; 3:8; 3:12 --- ESV – or any other translation, no great interpretations are needed -- the Book says what it says.

(Rev 2:3)I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for My name's sake, and you have not grown weary.
(Rev 3:5)The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name (your name here) out of the book of life. I will confess his name (your name here) before my Father and before His angels.
(Rev 3:8)"'I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept My word and have not denied My Name.

(1Jn 2:12) I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for His Name's sake. (Who’s Name? Ex 3:13 and Pro 30:4)
(1Jn 4:2-3) By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that YaHshua the Christ has come in the flesh is from God (the Father), and every spirit that does not confess YaHshua is not from God (The Father). This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.

If we restored His Name, the Name the Apostles Preached in, and others of the Faith died for, we come to understand the importance, and how much His Name does matter, merely by restoring His Name to the text.  A small bit of understanding and we can clearly see that the name "Jesus" is a deception.  So, what name is it that most, if not all professing Christians confess and are baptised into is not His Name.  We are to confess no one else, in no other name but His Birth Name, YaHshua – the name YaHshua has been around for thousands of years, first appearing in Exodus 17:9, the man that was to lead the Children of God into the Kingdom – sound familiar?  The Old English transliteration of this Name is seen as JOSHUA.  The name JESUS is not an equivalent, not even close, being pronounced completely different and to top it of, this name is only about 400 years old, a modern creation.  John warned us, even in his day he was witnessing a move away from our Savior’s birth name.

I should not have to go any further, not really -- you either accept it or you don’t – these words from the book of Revelation is the final word and as the New Church grew in knowledge and correction we come to the Book of Revelation, don’t we? In this last Word of Revelation, we see that there is another "book" and your name is in it and your name is subject to "removal" or being forever "sealed" into eternity. These verses are not speaking figuratively – They are plain and by these verses it is made plain that your name means something, as does the Name of our Savior and the Name of our Heavenly Father.

Actually that is a backward statement -- The Father's Name and the Name of His Son is first and foremost, our names being secondary. Being the self-centered beings that we are it really is no surprise that we would relegate the personal identity of the Creator to a secondary position while seeing our own identity, in this world, as something important, something special. We then dare to suggest the Holy Identity of our Savior is subject to change and even substitution being replaced by whatever men imagine it to be – we disrespect His Identity, profaning His name, which is to make it useless by not using it, by refusing to restore His Name in favor of “another” name. The Name of our Heavenly Father is obscured to the point of nonexistence -- and men see as no big deal when challenged, "Names don't matter", what do they say?  They respond when pushed into this corner being faced with the fact that the name "Jesus" is not the Name or our Savior – Oh, they say, names don’t matter. It is difficult to admit the error, to accept the fact you have been hood-winked, fool, and deceived. Your name matters and His Name matters all the more.

Under inspiration from the Holy Spirit of the Father and the Son, Peter said --
Acts 4:12 "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other NAME under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." NIV

But wait, there is more -- the following verses say it all -- names do matter, a lot, more than a lot --
(Rom 10:13) ... for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." NIV
(Rom 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. KJV
(Act 2:21) And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.
(Joel 2:32)  And everyone who calls on the name of the YHWH will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the YHWH has said, among the survivors whom the YHWH calls. KJV
Note: Peter stood up at Pentecost and quoted from Joel and if for not other reason we too should listen to what Joel had to say.
(Psa 79:6-7)  Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the kingdoms that do not call on your Name;  for they have devoured Jacob and destroyed his homeland. KJV

After reading these verses who would dare say His Name is not important?  Some in the Jewish community, of the Ultra-Orthodox branch insist it is not their duty to make their God known to the world, to share His Name.  They, like many others, desire to remain in their ignorance.  In their superior knowledge they live in the dark and the Scripture reveals why –

(Hos 4:5-6)  You stumble day and night, and the prophets (teachers) stumble with you. So I will destroy your mother -- my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.

Names Matters
From the very beginning names have had meaning and they still do. The Creator named his first creation and then allow created man, made from the elements of this Earth, to name the animals of that creation -- second chapter of Genesis gives an account of this (Gen 2:19). Prophets of old were named and given names that either described their mission or the time they lived in. It had been a popular custom for people to give names that were connected to the god, or gods, they worshipped, or to apply names that were connected to some event and in the case of the Israelis this was too a common practice.

Read the book of the Kings 1 & 2 and you see names of individuals directly connected to the name of the God of Israel, especially of note is the last few chapters of the second book of Kings, a time of religious fervor and open demonstration of the peoples love for their gods. These religious people had fallen so far away from the true God that even though many of them carried His name they did not know who He was. They had placed idols upon every hill, they had filled the temple with every kind of idol representations of false gods, then one day, during a work project at the temple, a book was found -- Book of the Law. Amazing, they had forgotten all about the Book of the Law and, I think, while repairing and remodeling the Temple to allow the placement of more false gods, they uncovered the long forgotten Book of the Law. Read it for yourself and ask yourself if this reminds you of any other people? (2 Kings 22:8-13; 23:4-8)

Remember the verse I quoted, Acts 4:12 ? Good, now ask yourself, what name had been given to the Messiah at birth? The Messiah (YaH’s Messenger, or the Anointed) was given a Name that would be found among men, not among angels, not in heaven. That name would be a Name "found among" men, an Name commanded to be given to Him, our Savior, a declaration from the Father and a label of identification for His Son. Read Matthew 1:21 -- Mary did not come up with a name to Name our Savior, Joseph did not dream up a name but was given, commanded, what to name Him. The messenger angel Gabriel told them the Name the Father wanted Him to be Named. That Name was not Jesus. Your , a Latin, Greek and English mixture leading the Christian world away from His actual birth name of YaHshua. This name was a very popular name, a name found among the people, dating back to the times of Moses.  And it is believed by me, that it is not mistake that this OT Joshua, or YaHshua, is the One who led the chosen people into the Promised Land.  This makes what Peter in Acts 4:12, stand out.  Looking at these words in a couple of translations, and you can see that no interpretation is needed, it says what it says.

NIV -
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”
RVS -
“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
KJV -
“Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

A name found “among men, by which we must be saved” -- not might, not maybe and not perhaps but “must”. When that was written the bogus name “Jesus" did not exist. We see the modern twisting of the "Old English" presentation of His Name in the OT portion of the Bible as “Joshua” which, when properly pronounced is “Yahshua”, and not Joeshua, or Yoshua -- still, the obvious is that this is a variation of His Birth Name, YaHshua, or YaHushua, while the other name, JESUS. pronounced by many as Geezus, and others as HeZeus (The Zeus?), nothing close to His Birth Name, but a completely different name.

Joshua = YaHshua
This name "Joshua", a pretty good attempt at a transliteration of the Name given to our Savior at birth is found in the Old Testament -- one whole book carries this Name found among men, the Book of Joshua, properly pronounced, YaHshua. However, it is never used in reference to the Messiah in the King James New Testament even though this would be far more accurate than the false name "Jesus" -- it is not even an honest attempt at preserving the only name "by which we must be saved". Name has been changed and the inquiring mind should be asking, Why?

Even then the pronunciation of the name "Joshua" has been perverted in the English by the misuse of the letter "j". It is only the English and American speaking tongues that twist the pronunciation with the perverting the “J” from its original pronunciation. Many European and Spanish speaking countries correctly pronounce "Joshua" as "Yahshua" but when it comes to the New Testament the Name is strangely changed to Jesus and pronounced as Hey-Zeus -- which is to say, The Zeus.

This all began with the King James Version of the bible. The original 1611 version of the King James bible printed the Name of our Savior as "iesus" then in later revisions changed it to "jesus", apparently not wanting to follow the Latin form. Even the Greek, whom they all claim to have received the Name by which all must be saved is off base and seen in print as Iesous (there are a couple of other variant spelling) and pronounced as "Hey-sow-us" and is nothing approaching the Name given to our Savior, YaHshua (Old English, OT -- Joshua).

Anyone that tries to convince you that the KJV Bible is the only authorized version, the only Holy Spirit sanctioned writings and all others are of Satan are out of their minds. It is the KJV Bible backed by a corrupt King and fifty plus handpicked scholars of languages plagiarizing most of their work from William Tyndale's translation and leading to one of the biggest cover-ups in the history of publishing -- the KJV was not ever translated directly from original Greek Manuscripts -- there are not Original Manuscripts in the hand of the original author in existence today, much less in 1600 AD. And guess what, the original copies of the KJV original translation is missing too. How convenient, the record of the KJV version tracking back to its origin is missing, burned up in a fire, they say, but no one really knows. If the original copy of the translator's work could be examined many might be shock how similar it is to the Bishop's Bible and the Tyndale's versions as opposed to be an all new translations from the first century Greek letters, which no long exist now or then. All those buying into the KJV only Holy Bible are being hoodwink to perpetuate a few false doctrines based on Old English language.

Names Have Meaning
Names do mean something and do have meaning, This is a fact, a truth, we see how true when we consider the our own personal identity. Your name says a lot, it puts you in a certain family and marks which member of that family you are and it is by this name you have you draw a pay check or collect on Social Security, or put on a marriage license, etc., etc.. History is founded upon names, the names of Kings set the time lines, names of the villains as well as the heroes mark chapters in the record of men.

See the list of names I have presented in Shouting His Name for a revealing look into how the name of the our Creator and Savior has been not hidden been hidden but people have trouble seeing it. Satan would love to keep this a secret and he has his agents trying to keep the cover-up going. In the end, however, the Creator Himself will make His name known and it will one day be great among the nations (Mal 1:11)

Serious Business
That is not all, there is still more that can be said but let's turn again to the Written Word --

(Psa 79:6) Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.
(1Co 1:2) Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in the Christ YaHshua, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of YaHshua the Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
(John 3:18) He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God.

This, my friends, is serious business and I hope this small article has helped further the resolve of those having found this truth and taken it to heart and I pray this article may even be of use in opening the eyes of those being called to be saints. Peace to you, your servant, Dan
