Heaven or Not?  That is the Question?

questions or comments to -- dan@servnatsofyahshua.com

I judge none of them, The Word will do that.  I am a Christian believer in the Word of God, baptized Into Him, our Savior, YaHshua, into His and our Heavenly Father's Spirit -- that is my confession.  YaHshua is the One most Christians incorrectly call, Jesus.  If what they say is so important we should work to determine who the true Messiah of the Bible is.  So, to all of you loving, professing believers, who wrote, threatened, with biting words, I was tempted to take the article down, so as not to offend those sensitive eyes, any longer.  I have reinstated the original challenging this TV ad.

I do apologize for exciting so much hateful anger -- that was never my intention.  It is this kind of thing that demonstrates how many brothers and sisters were tied to the stake and burned alive by professing Christians -- I guess that not everyone who call themselves one thing, are really another.  Still, I do not expect to stop the mean-spirited words, that is just the Devils way.

Judgment Before the Great White Throne
Rev 20:11  Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.
Rev 20:12  And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
Rev 20:13  The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.
Rev 20:14  Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.
Rev 20:15  If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

The following is the pledge to JESUS -- a call to Geezus, the modern HeyZeus -- a pledge you are asked, rather, invited to make at the end of the Heaven or Not TV invitation:

[Make no mistake – this is not from me – I post this only as an example and I have supplied to you the internet link to confirm the source.]

The invitation goes like this:

Dear God,
I know I have sinned against you.
Please forgive me.
I receive Jesus…your only Son…right now as Savior of my life … having died to pay for my sins. Thank you for forgiving my sins … and for my new life.
I pray this prayer in Jesus’ holy name, Amen!

Please practice the Christian brother and sister charity and avoid the angry vitriol some seem obliged to share.  Disagree, fine, but know this -- if you are not willing to investigate this doctrinal lie, then you have not right to an opinion at all.  No one is so blind as he or she who will not see.  Some blindness is on purpose.

Believe our Messiah, our Savior, believe Him — His Words, not mine:

John 6:38  For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me.

John 3:13  And no man has ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, the Son of man which is in heaven. KJV

John 3:13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the One who came from heaven--the Son of Man. NIV

John 7:33  Then YaHshua said, "I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.

John 7:34  You will seek me, and won't find me; and where I am, you can't come." (KJV Name restored)

John 7:33 Yahshua said, "I am with you for only a short time, and then I go to the one who sent me.

John 7:34  You will look for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come." (NIV – His birth name restored)

Believe His, YaHshua's words, not the words of men --

Rom 3:3-4  What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every man (or woman) a liar. As it is written: "So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge."

It is always to be by His Word, not ours.  What you may want, is not always right.  And what others tell you, is not always right either, in fact, others will lie even believing they are being truthful.  Why?  Because, without looking into it, they hear what the want to hear, what sounds sweet to them, and look no further.  This leads to some professing believers to be misled and to being angry with anyone removing their blinders, even for a second.  Don’t be one of those, I do pray.

Heaven or Not and That is the Question?

Original article on this controversial subject.  Re-posted, after pulling down, as necessary information

The following is the answer I received from the Heaven Or Not TV ad and website.

After this brief introduction to why I object, is presented the email exchange I had with the authors of that TV Ad.  They suggest that you can only go to Heaven by confessing that name.  You decide.

I had questioned the NAME they were promoting.  And saying that you cannot go to Heaven without a confession to JESUS – a Name I object to as the true name or Identity of our Messiah and Savior, who was named by His Heavenly Father – NOT Geezus, but YaHshua the modern transliteration for the English, JOSHUA, nether anywhere near the name they are promoting.

Calling others into confession and acceptance of a Savior in the name of JESUS -- making a pledge, essentially, to accept JESUS as their savior in order to be certain of salvation -- hence, the leading question, Heaven or Not?.  I questioned the use of that name, a name that had only been around for the past 400 years.  For this reason, it could not be the name our Savior had been given at birth and it is not the name His disciples taught in or baptized in or claimed is connected with our confession of faith and our repentance leading to eternal life -- the first church or ecclesia that were baptized on that day of Pentecost, after Peter called everyone to repent and be baptized, numbered 3,000, and it was not the bogus name JESUS that they were all baptized into, it could not have been.

The Apostles continued to preach and to teach and to call for repentance and baptism into His Name, and an additional number were baptized and the number grew to 5,000 -- Acts 4:1-4.  And in the teaching going out from the Apostle he clearly says this -- that there is only one name we must confess, one name by which we must be saved.  Your Bible may say, Jesus, but if that name never existed until around the 15th century, then what was the Name the Apostles were baptizing people into?  It certainly could not have been the name that is promoted today -- read Acts 4:12.

His Name, then, should be of great importance to a believer.  Here is the response I received, with my comments. And the response I received from the website  Heaven Or Not.net representative.  The representative for the TV AD, referenced me to another website, but the truth is not found in either.  First a brief on the topic and then the email exchange.

His Name Controversy -- The bait -- Heaven Or Not?

A recent TV ad, asking if you expect to go to Heaven or Not, then leads you along into an invite to confess JESUS as your savior.  This must be a pretty important name, right?    You are invited to take the pledge, confessing that JESUS is the son of God.   The problem, for me, as least, is that the name JESUS, or Geezus, whom some parts of the world pronounce as, Heyzeus, is not the Name our Savior was given, the Name we are supposed to confess is not Geezus but YaHshua, the Name Savior of the Bible was given at birth, the name His disciples preached and baptized other into.  Imagine for a minute, those hearing this invitation for confessing, hearing this ad in their own language, say, Spanish, for example, and what would they hear?  They would hear an invitation to confess Zeus as their savior, HeyZeus, or, as translated, The Zeus.  That should be a tip-off that something is wrong.

Heaven Or Not? Is the question they ask, over and over, ending with an invite to take a pledge in the name of JESUS for your own Salvation, confession in this name, is your ticket to Heaven – that is not what they suggest, but what they teach as a fact.  But my question, for them, would be, what if you are wrong, and His name is not JESUS, and what if you do not go to Heaven?  “Who is the Messiah?  Who is the One True Savior, what is His Name can you say?  Why, do you use a Name that is only 400 years old?

This is the answer I received:

Dan
Jesus is the English translation of the Jewish name Yeshua.
Here is a good article that explains this:

Okay, so, I went to the link provided to explain to me why the name JESUS is the English translation of the Jewish name YESHUA.  Read that again -- the name JESUS is the English for the Jewish name Yeshua?  Isn't Yeshua also an English translation or transliteration?  Isn't Yeshua, as a name, seen and read in English as Yeshua?  How, then does it go from JESUS, or Geezus to Yeshua?  Both are obviously in English.  They keep saying that these names are translations but that is incorrect.  Names are to be transliterated, and JESUS is not a transliteration at all, it is a newly created name, dating from a period just after 1611 and promoted by the creation of the King James Bible -- a government commissioned work, by the way, and the reason it is called the KING JAMES BIBLE.  However, the name Yeshua, is a closer Transliteration to the original birth Name of our Savior -- YaHshua, also found and transliterated in the KJV, from the Old English as JOSHUA.  Even to this day, this name is found in your Bible, so why use a different name when it comes to the New Testament?  Why change it?

The following is from the Website offered up as their answer.  I will comment, of course, assuming that what is presented at is their answer.  I will not quote the whole of the presentation, only the first two paragraph, which is enough to see what their excuse is:

"Yeshua is the Hebrew name, and its English spelling is “Joshua.” Iesous is the Greek transliteration of the Hebrew name, and its English spelling is “Jesus.” Thus, the names “Joshua” and “Jesus” are essentially the same; both are English pronunciations of the Hebrew and Greek names for our Lord. (For examples of how the two names are interchangeable, see Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8 in the KJV. In both cases, the word Jesus refers to the Old Testament character Joshua.)
Changing the language of a word does not affect the meaning of the word. We call a bound and covered set of pages a “book.” In German, it becomes a buch. In Spanish, it is a libro; in French, a livre. The language changes, but the object itself does not. As Shakespeare said, “That which we call a rose / By any other name would smell as sweet” (Romeo and Juliet, II:i). In the same way, we can refer to Jesus as “Jesus,” “Yeshua,” or “YehSou” (Cantonese) without changing His nature. In any language, His name means “The Lord Is Salvation.” "

[If you are offended by harsh words like, “lie”, then read not further because we do not want to hurt your ears or eyes.  But, if you can take such words to mean what they mean and see the truth behind them, then read on]

Lie #1 -- Yeshua is the Hebrew name and its English spelling is “Joshua”.

Yeshua is not Hebrew.  It is an Arabic transliteration.  If it were Hebrew it would be presented as Y’shua, indicating the missing “H”.  They go on to say that the English spelling is “Joshua”.  If the English spelling is “Joshua” then what it the “Yeshua” spelling?  And if the English spelling is “Joshua” then what does that man the “JESUS” spelling?  This is like taking your own, personal name and changing it -- and that is exactly what they have done with our Savior’s personal Name -- they have changed it.  It is not like they do not have His Name or something very close to it.  They have already admitted that “Joshua” is the English spelling for His Name -- so, why use a different name?

Lie #2 -- Iesous is the Greek transliteration of the Hebrew name, and its English spelling is “Jesus.

How would you say, Iesous, Eyesous?  If this is supposed to be a transliteration, then is should sound like JESUS.  The purpose of a transliteration, not a translation, is to reproduce how a name is spoken and heard from one language to another.  So, the spelling might be different, or the appearance on paper might look different but when said aloud it should be a similar of exact sound heard as from the original language.  In other words, the name of our President, Biden, does not come out as John, or Frank in other languages.  Even when we heard a strange language being spoken, when the name of our President is mentioned, we hear it and understand it and it is always, Biden, or Trump or Bush or Clinton, the transliterations keep the name as heard in the same sounding out of each individual name given to each and every person at birth.  But, for some strange reason, when it comes to the name of our Creator, men and women take it upon themselves to say it does not matter -- that is, until you ask to be baptized then those rejecting His Birth Name will insist you be baptized in the name JESUS -- that is, Geezus.

Here is the Greek:
Original: Ἰησοῦς
- Transliteration: Iesous
- Phonetic: ee-ay-sooce'
- Definition: Jesus = Jehovah is salvation
1. Jesus, the son of God, the saviour of mankind, God incarnate
2. Jesus Barabbas was the captive robber whom the Jews begged Pilate to release instead of christ
3. Joshua was the famous captain of the Israelites, Moses' successor (Act_7:45, Heb_4:8)

Notice anything strange?  The name Jesus is supposed to mean Jehovah is salvation.  So, what does YaHshua mean?  It means that YaH is Salvation.  Remembering that the letter “J” in some parts of the world, like in the English speaking areas, has changed from the Ju, sound to the Ya, sound while in some parts of the world the “J” letter has retained its Ya sound, so, names like John remain in their original vernacular, sounding more like, Yawn.  What this does for the name JESUS, however, is strange -- Yesus, which comes out like YeZeus.  If we leave the J or the original “I” letter as in, Iesus, it becomes hezeus, or, The Zeus.  Yes, we are reaching a bit but in the Spanish speaking areas this is exactly how they say the name JESUS, they say, literally, Heyzeus.

Lie #3:  Thus, the names “Joshua” and “Jesus” are essentially the same; both are English pronunciations of the Hebrew and Greek names for our Lord.

Any fool can see right through that statement.  Oh, the lie is strong in Christianity, little one.  Sometimes, people hear what they want to hear -- others assume those teachers are telling them the truth and would never lie to them.  Are the names, Dan and Jack the same?  Or maybe, Nancy and Karen are they essentially the same?  Jesus, pronounced, Geezus in the English and Hezeus in others but we are told by these great religious minds that they are essentially the same?

Looking at the definition, according the Greek Dictionary, quoted above, the Messiah of the Christian Bible is Jehovah is Salvation.  It is not hard, in this day and age, to prove that the name Jehovah is more correctly pronounced as YaHWeH, some still say YaHVeH.  If the “J” letter were updated you would have, YeHovah, a much closer transliteration.  We are told that the first letters in our Savior’s Name, is the short form for the Longer “Jehovah”, so, it would be correct to say Jeh is salvation.  Again correcting the “J” letter of our Lord’s Name, to the “Y”, then we have YaH is Salvation.  We do not need to argue over the “e” or the “a” letters as either or both are vowels added.  Agani, going back to the Greek Dictionary and we see that the name JOSHUA, is supposed to be His Hebrew Name -- so, why not use His Hebrew Name instead of changing it to something else?  After all, the Old English, JOSHUA is still around, so why change it to something else?  We are correcting the Old English JOSHUA to the modern, corrected transliteration to YaHshua.  The Hebrew transliteration, JOSHUA, is not a transliteration of JESUS or JESUS of JOSHUA, and nowhere near, how His Name is truly pronounced -- Yahweh -- YaH is Salvation.

Lie #5: Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8, are quoted to prove the interchangeability between the names, Joshua and Jesus.

This is ludicrous, literally, for making such a suggestion and if serious, a truly evil misdirection.  What these two verse prove, in the King James Version, is that the Modern Translators knew their error and failed to correct it.  How?  In the KJV, both of those verses used the name JESUS, instead of the correct name, JOSHUA and this confused some people because those verses were not talking about JESUS of the Christian community but JOSHUA of the Old Testament.  The modern translators and have corrected this by changing the JESUS name to JOSHUA, proving the error in using the false name, JESUS, in the rest of the New Covenant.  If changing those two verses from JESUS to the corrected JOSHUA, then why just there?  These two names are not the same, any fool can see and read that this is true, they are different names, completely different names.  The Name Joshua has been around for thousands of years, while the false name, Geezus, has only been around for a few hundred.

Lie #6:  The last paragraph is as dumb as it comes.  I guess the authors have not read -- go back and reread it.

1Co 8:5-6  For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)  yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, YaHshua the Anointed, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

There are things and beings called gods, whether on earth or in heaven -- no matter, because to us there is only One God and Father.  So, how do we separate out god or Heavenly Father from those others that may be called gods, but are not really?  How?  By Name.

(Pro 30:4) Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? who has gathered the wind in his fists? who has bound the waters in a garment? who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His Name, and what is His Son's Name, if you can tell?

So, what is His Name, what it the Name of His Son????  The context of that verses, determined from surrounding verses, would suggest a question from a mind that does not seem to know for sure -- but, what this demonstrates, is that there is a Name for the God we call the Father and there is a Name for His Son -- this is a prophetic question and its answer is in the New Covenant -- or it was, until His Name was Changed.  But, we can know and if we restore His Name to the New Covenant writings we will then see just how important this is.  According to the New Testament, there is only one Name by which we must confess in order to see eternity.

(Act 4:12)  Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other Name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."   (Not maybe but must be saved) (And whose Name were the Apostles teaching?  Acts 4:1-12)

(Rom 10:9)  that if you will confess with your mouth that YaHshua is Lord, and believe in your heart that God (The Father) raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  (Confess?  Whose Name? See what happens when you RESTORE His Name?)

(John 5:43)  I have come in My Father's Name, and you do not accept Me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. (This is what has happened.  Our Lord's prophetic words  have come true -- another has been accepted)

(1Jn 4:14-15)  And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that YaHshua is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. (See how it changes when His Birth Name is restored?)

(1Jn 5:13)  I write these things to you who believe in the Name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. (How do we know we have Eternal life?  Read it again)

(1Jn 2:22)  Who is the liar but he who denies that YaHshua is the Messiah? This is the Anti messiah (Anti-Christ), he who denies the FATHER and the Son.

At the end of the “Heaven or Not”, Christian TV ad, there is a confess they invite you into for accepting and confession in the name of JESUS.  We have, hopefully, demonstrated this error.  And hope that you will restore His Holy Name, His Birth Name to your worship and to your New Covenant readings.  Doing so could be life changing.

Why is it that some who do know the truth, among leaders and members of the Christians Churches?  Maybe we can see the answer to this from the past record found in the New Covenant writings.

(John 12:42)  Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees (religious leader) they didn't confess it, so that they wouldn't be put out of the synagogue (Fear of being put out of the Church)

(John 9:22)  His parents (of the man YaHshua had healed) said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess Him (YaHshua) as the Messiah, he would be put out of the synagogue (Church).
