Banning Guns -- Guns turned into Plows and Pruning Hooks

Q.  Why not ban all guns?  It is gun ownship that causes many deaths.  Even the Bible says guns should be banned.  Just readt your Bilbe.  And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords (Guns) into plowshares, and their spears (missles) into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more, Isa 2:4.  Even the Bible supports the elimination or seizing of guns and making them into something really useful.

A. Good point and true to the Word.  I agree -- except for one major thing --  What Isaiah is talking about is for the future, a time after He is here -- but we are living in the now, that future time has not come for us, yet.  YaHshua has not returned to empliment this righteous ruling and with the ability to enforce it -- also -- He is the only one with enough wisdom and authority to put such a plan in place.  Right now we have men and women that cannot be trusted and many of these men and women who seek to become our leaders, our masters, would be unrestrainted in their concept of ruling over others if there were no threat from an armed public.  You may disagree with the timing or when this should be inacted, but hang on for just a bit longer and consider what the New Covenant has to say and in His Words, not mine or any others.

When YaHshua and His angels return, and the firist Resurrection takes place and the Rule of Law goes out from Jerusalem -- when that day comes -- He will have the power, physically and spiritually to put a stop to all war and make it clear that the need for weapons of War are no long needed or allowed.  Weapons of War, as opposed to weapons of self-defense.  But, let's not get picky, perhaps no weapon of anykind will be allowed and all will be destroyed or turned into farming tool, from Tanks to missiles, to pistols, and rifles, and swords and spears and -- well, maybe not butter knives or kitchen knives.  The context in Isaiah chapter 2, and Micah 4:3 is about weapons of war.

(Mic 4:3)  And He (YaHshua) shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

However, while our Lord was on this Earth we know that his Disciples carried weapon of self-defense, and this counters what those who would seized your self-defense weapons want or would do if given the chance.

(Mat 10:34)  Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

(Mat 26:51)  And, behold, one of them which were with YaHshua stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.

(Luke 22:36)  Then said He unto them, But now, he that haa a purse (bag, for clothing or other essentials), let him take it, and likewise his scrip (a wallet or allotment for food) : and he that has no sword (gun), let him sell his garment, and buy one.
(Luke 22:37)  For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in Me, 'And he was reckoned among the transgressors': for the things concerning Me have an end.
(Luke 22:38)  And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords (guns). And He said unto them, It is enough.

Just what do you suppose our Lord YaHshua is saying?  This disciples say that they have two guns and YaHshua says that that is enough.  Notice, however, what YaHshua says when He is informed that they have a couple of weapons.  He says, it is enough.  That is a statement that comes across, for me at least, as one of disappointement, just passing on or over the lack of understanding by those around Him.  He was not talking about the moment, or the need for weapons at that moment and their lack of understanding what He was trying to tell them, He just let it go, as something that passed over their heads, over their understanding.  The prophetic nature is about what would come -- a time when things concerning Him, like His crucifixion and after that, the things that would be coming.  A warning to anyone that would listen -- a future people.  And what is He telling us, then?  We are the people to whom this prophetic instruction is delivered.

1. Take a bag, or backpack and fill it with spare clothing and other essentials.
2. Make sure you have a wallet with extra script (money), like an emergency fund.
3. Next, take your surplus clothing and sell so you can buy a gun (sword).

You can pick out times in human history when this would have been life saving advice.  There are times of peace followed by times of war and invasion.  If you live in a time of relative peace, then good for you, but who knows when such times are going to turn into war or invasion?  Being prepared would be a blessing for anyone ready, or prepared for such an un-peaceful time.  Sometimes, you have to take care of yourself and your own.

A time of forced peace is going to come for the whole Earth but that day will not come until YaHshua returns and puts down all of the man made war machines, but that time is not now.  Now, we are told, warned, advised by our Savior, to prepare for the worst and in this preparedness He includes the purchase of a gun.

The crazy thing about those who would seize your guns is that they go after the guns as if they are alive and ignore the user of such weapons against the innocent.  The criminal does not abide by the law, they will still harbor guns, no matter what the law may be.  Then there are the insane, those who are usually responsible for killing co-workers or other innocents, but the gun control advocates go after the guns of law abiding citizens and let the crazy or the criminally insane go free.  If more time were spent on dealing with this insanity the gun, and inanimate object is powerless unless put in the hands of the criminal, sane or insane.  So, why would anyone want to seized your weapons?  For the very reason the British government wanted to disarm the Colonist of the New America.  If only one side has the weapons then who becomes the rulers and who become the slaves?  The thugs that rule a neighborhood, rule by the weapons they own and the weapons you do not own.  Political thugs are no different.

Many a survivor of a mass shooting or ambush, form tax free organizations to combat the gun.  From stricker laws for gun control to the complete elimination of guns.  They attack the weapon, over and over and ignore the criminally insane who took a gun and killed others.  Ingoring the real problem.  This would be like suing an Auto shop for working on your car and it not working properly.  Who would chose to sue the wrenches the mechanic used as opposed to the mechanic for the car being worse off than before?  Sue the tool?  Who would do that?  Apparently, many of our politicians.  Peace, Dan
