Holy Days or Holidays?
HOLY DAY Calendar -- A Prophetic Time-Line
(see link at bottom of this page)
The Christian Bible contains HOLY DAYS that amount to an outline of YaWeH's plan. To understand these Holy Days is to understand His plan. From this plan the Spirit of Prophecy is revealed and a better understanding can be seen in the Words of YaHshua when He revealed His Prophetic outline that He recited for His disciples in Matthew Chapter 24 -- a LINK to My Commentary on these important words.
The value in understanding the Holy Days cannot be overstated. These Holy Days have been replaced by men for Christian customs and traditions called "Holidays", in a round about way of avoiding the word "HOLY". If Christian Holidays were called HOLY many might want to know more or be committed to digging into why the "customs" are Holy. This would lead to a discovery that many, if not all, of the Christan Holidays are based on a pagan past. The similarities to pagan rites and holy days from the past gods of Rome, Greece, and Babylon and this might be very disconcerting for many professing believers.
The very people calling anything found in the Old Covenant words as legalistic and anyone trying to follow the truths found in the Old Covenant writings (Torah -- Book of Law) as being "legalist" as if that is something dirty. These Christians who say it is a sin to judge others do just that. They then turn their backs on those desiring to be law abiding Believers while they themselves, like the hypocrites of the past, pile laws and rules and holidays upon the Christian believer -- most of which has been taken from pagan customs -- then calling them Christian.
I am not saying that you should or should not observe these HOLYDAYS of the Old Covenant, but if you do I am not saying you are sinning either. For one person honors a day above another day but to our Lord and God in Heaven -- while -- another person honor everyday alike -- (Romans 14:5) One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. NIV
This is the rule; not everything you see as correct is correct for every believer, only the true Judge can judge this. If you can learn from the Law what is right and do what is right then you do not need the Law. But if you cannot learn from what the law has to teach then you are in denial.
Our Savior said there were Two Laws, the First; Love the Lord your God with all your heart and the Second, to love your neighbor as yourself. The Irony is that the 10 Commandments, found in the Old Covenant, Commandmenst literally written out by the Finger of God Himself, epitomize these Two Commandments from our Savior -- Matthew 22:37:40. The first four of the 10 Commandments are instructions concerning the worship and honor given to our Creator and God, YaHWeH. The last six of these 10 Commandments are laws governing mankind's conduct toward his fellow man. Read them and you will see this truth -- Exodus 20.
As for the Holy Days they were certainly written out and delivered to the People of Israel, but this does not remove their meaning, and as part of the Old Covenant Law we should have an interest.in them and why our God would give these to a people and for what reason? Shouldn't a believer be interested?
If you are inspired (moved) to observe these Holy Days then you should most certainly understand why and what they mean, especially for the Christian believer, as the meaning is more than what the Jews or the people of Israel understood or understand, even to this day. For example -- the Passover is all about our Lord and Savior, YaHshua, but to the Jew the Passover is about remembering when YaHWeH brought them out of Egypt. This is a big difference. The Prophetic nature of this Holy Day, was not understood by the Israelis, not all, anyway, not seeing the Passing over of all sin, by the covering of the Blood of the ultimate Lamb of God, YaHshua. The Lamb, slaughtered each Passover, had been a physical, prophetic presentation of what was to come, and did come, as YaHshua, the Lamb of God was crucified on the Cross (stake, or tree) on the very night the Jews were slaughtering the Passover Lambs in preparing for their Passover Meal.
The following link is provided by a groups of believers that believe you must keep these days -- I do not agree with this, but I do believe we should honor these days and remember them because they have a lot to teach us. Go to this website to find out more about these Holy Days and to print up a copy of these dates to come.
The following is a link to a Christian groups that sees this and has put together a calendar in agreement with the Biblical Calendar to the best of their ability. But, there is another calendar, which supports the Prophetic nature of what has happened, right on schedule and what is to happen.
The following link is from the United Church of God, http://www.ucg.org/holy-day-calendar and they are not the only people to be producing a Calendar that emphasizes the Biblical Times and Season. This and others are based on a day being defined as evening to evening, and on the surface this may seem correct, until, that is, you consider the Biblical definition for a day -- Genesis, from the beginning, a day is defined as the rising of the sun, light shining on the earth -- even YaHshua, the Anointed made this clear -- in John 11:9, YaHshua answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he sees the light of this world." And yet, men in their attempts at restoring the Biblical Calendar present a day by the setting of the sun, going into darkness. Of course, there are some defining moments used to build their mistake.
Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
If we were to count the day as beginning with the "evening", it would not be a day but a night -- first we are told that the day begins at the appearance of the light, and then told that it is the "evening and the morning", was the first day, and so it goes with this type of language throughout the Genesis account. But, the author of Genesis is assuming that the reader has common sense and intellect enough to understand this -- with every "evening" there is first a "day", and with every "morning" there would be an "evening". To say that the "evening and the morning" would be a day, is to assume, as we should, it is day to evening and evening to morning, otherwise, we would have to say, by the most literal interpretation that this definition makes a day from the evening to the morning. Fortunately, the previous verse 4, explains what a true day is. What verse 5 is defining for us is that the full period of what would be called a full period of time, would include both day time and night time -- a full period of time, marking out a 24 hour period. To often these verses are taken as defining the beginning of a true day begins at the setting of the sun, or the evening, which is a misunderstanding, or misuse of what is being defined for us. Sure, it would have been better to have said, ".. from the beginning of day to the evening and then to the morning, would be a 24 hour period we will call a day", but it doesn't, we are expected to understand this. The evening is NOT the beginning of a day, an evening is found to be within, or part of a day, as is a morning. If we were to read this verse, as in the reading of Hebrew, from right to left, this verse would say -- ".. morning and evening were the first day". This is actually what that verse is saying, not that a Day begins with the setting of the sun, or at evening. There are periods of time, using similar language, still many will insist that the counting of time begins as we enter the night.
There is another calendar that not only emphasizes the correct times and seasons but the Prophetic side as well. The Prophetic nature becomes obvious when taken seriously. If the present ruler of this world -- Satan -- wants to keep his kingdom in the dark, he needed to change the calendar, the change times and seasons, and this is not a new concept (. Think about it. The world says that a day begins in the middle of the night and that first hour is called 12 AM (after meridiem), and the day begins in the hour called 12 PM (post meridiem) in other words, to poke a little fun -- hour 12 is counted after Midnight. By some kind of intellectual figuring, to make things better, the calendars or the keeping of time has been changed, so that all the world can be on the same time, which it is not, not really, but it all sounds good and very scientific. Shifting things and renaming things that already exist seems to be the procedure for feeling as if man is in control. But, what if there were a calendar that would dare to restore the original times and seasons? What a bout a calendar that would reveal our Creator's plan for this world, this planet and the end of the Devils rule? How about a calendar that begins the "day", when the sunrises and begins the "night" after the sun has set. How about beginning the counting of the months at the first Equinox of Spring, as the buds and the flowers come to life, beginning a new year? A calendar that begins with the beginning or the regeneration of life, as opposed to one that begins in the dead of winter, in the dead of darkness? Well, the original calendar, or keeping of times and seasons has never been lost, only buried in the minutia man's brilliance, a self-importance feeding the mass ego by a spirit being who, for the present, claims this planet for himself and his agents, or minions, in spirit and in flesh.
This Calendar we call, The Genesis Prophecy Calendar -- more months of years to be added. This is not our calendar, and is only a calendar that attempts to align with the real world, the one our Creator made. A calendar that attempts to restore the true meaning and the outline for our Creator's plan for this planet and its inhabitants.

The modern world calendar has become so ingrained in the world that it makes for a confusing brain freeze, or twisting. As you will see for yourself but first, look at the Genesis Calendar, see how it is works and is perfectly in tune with actual present and physical world -- real world events and movements. Do this before trying to align it with the world calendar, that is when you will feel the brain freeze. Remember one thing, this prophetic Genesis Calendar, is constant, the days, the hours, the months are all constant and the times are all recurring, that is, repeating from year to year. The Holy Days will fall at the same time and on the same days of the week and month, from year to year. Unlike the calendar used by the world today, with only the days and hours remaining the same, as the numbering and the counting rotate through the days of the months, even with the constant hours for that day and night being moved, in the counting, denying the actual and true timing of a day and of a night.
