Q: When the Kingdom of God is finally on earth, will all borders be removed?  Somewhere it says that there will be no walls, like Ezekiel 38:11? Doesn't that mean no borders?  

A: You are right, but the land of Israel and it people being described by Ezekiel is not the Israel of today.  

This idea that we will become all one people, no borders, just one big family as the Kingdom of God, is not the case.  When the days of prophetic fulfilment approach, and the Kingdom or government of God is established with the Return of our Savior and King, YaHshua, people will remember their homeland and return to where they were born, to the land of their own beginning.  Immigration will reverse and everyone will benefit from this return to each own uniqueness.  

Looking into this a little more we can see events before and after this "migration" of peoples back to their point of origin, are very unsettling, to say the least.  A time is coming when fleeing from one's own birth place, or country will be reversed and those having abandon their homeland, for whatever reason will be returning -- immigration to foreign lands will cease in the world to come.  

As for the walls, walls of various kinds,  there are some hints and description too, that tell us that we are still not in the End Times as so many prophecy teachers have been teaching.  Let us take a short trip into the word for a view not seen by many.  This is to encourage your own study into these coming events and the timing, that in my view, is still in the future.  

Certainly, we have an historical record about a people returning to the land of Israel, though only in part, as not all of the land given to the people of Israel is in the possession of Modern Israel today.  Ezekiel is certainly still in the future.  Many things are yet to happen.  Of course, for Bible Prophecy to continue, a people representing Israel/Judah, had to return to the land, at least in part, and that is what we can see happening, historically, in May of 1948, when a people representing Modern Israel, officially took possession of a part of the land, after being denied this for over 1,500 years.  The people of Israel were taken, by force, out of their homeland -- first by the Roman world power around 70 AD, and again 70 years later, 140 AD, a complete and total removal and dispersion of the Jewish people -- know as the diaspora, that lasted until the end of WW2, when the people surviving the German attempt to wipe them out began migrating back to a homeland of their ancestors, a land nested right in the middle of their present and ancient enemies.  The evidence that this was nothing short of a miraculous, historical event, is in the evidence before us today and yesterday, as the small, but mighty nation of Israel is present and active and present for all to see, as it protects itself from all sides and still manages to flourish.  Modern Israel is a miracle of this past 80 years, not yet a full century.

This, however is not the Israel, specifically, we read about in Ezekiel.   Modern Israel had walls, many different types of walls.  The timing for the events that Ezekiel mentions is found in the Book of Revelation, and when this is seen, or acknowledge, is when Ezekiel and other prophets about these same "future" events become clear, or as some would say, self evident.  For now, we can see that these future events are about another collapse and restoration of Israel, and a woeful warning, and sad ending for those who come against the chosen of the God of all creation.

Read about the coming of a people called Gog, that is to demonstrate the final power of Israel's protector, and when this is to be -- all in the book of Revelation, pointing back to the Prophets of old, and their words becoming reality.  

Short and sweet, as the saying goes -- these few verses in Revelation, reveal the timing of events the prophets of old spoke -- a time at the end of the 1,000 years of peace.  This is a time at the end of the Millennial period of our Savior establishing the Kingdom of God on earth.  Listen to what they had to say and then read Revelation again.  

Here is something we have not seen yet.  These prophetic events have no Historical foundation, and are still something for the future to be considered and taken seriously.

Use those verses as a starting point for your own study into these things.  You will see how wrong so many modern prophecy authors are -- mostly, I believe, because of the desire to see our Lord return in our time, their time, but as I have lived long enough to witness the death of most modern prophets and their desire to see the end, and the establishment of the Kingdom before they went to their grave.  We have a long way to go, today is the day, however, for you and me, as our end is the same as the end to come, the end of evil is just around the corner, yesterday and today, as it is come in the end of our mortal lives, as we await the resurrection into our new bodies of eternity.  Yes, the end is near, as near as your own end, be it a few years of 80 plus, but no matte what age you have lived, it will not be much longer than that.  So, the END is NEAR after all, for all, and has been since the beginning.
