(1Ti 4:7) Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.(1Ti 1:4) Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.(Tit 1:14) Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
(2Pe 1:16) For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.(2Pe 2:3) In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
(Heb 1:5) For unto which of the angels said He at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
(Act 20:29) For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
(Mat 7:15) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.(Mat 10:16) Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.(A message to His 12 Disciples)(2Pe 2:1) But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord thatbought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction.(“privily” - that would be to “introduce”) (these are not outsiders, “…the Lord that bought them),(2Pe 2:2) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.(outsiders, will look on the fables being taught and ridicule the brethren and the Word itself for accepting such nonsense)(2Pe 2:3) And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. (“feigned words” is to say in modern language; “fiction”) (“lingers not” – our time is not His time. What seems like a long time to us is but a short time in His Prophetic time. “their damnation slumbers not” – is to say, “their condemnation, of what they are teaching, is on record, then as now”)
(2Co 11:13) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
(Luke 3:38) Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.
(Hos 1:10) Yet the number of the children (sons) of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
