Noah’s Perfect DNA

Some Teachers have over many, many years taught
that Noah, perfect in all his generations was racially pure, had not mixed with
the evil women and kept himself racially pure.
Then along comes the Jewish teaching, a teaching found in their writings
but not in the Hebrew bible, that this purity, found in Noah,
was the fact he had not become mixed blood with Angels. I know, weird,
right? This is the teaching of the
Nephilim being the children, the offspring from the union between Fallen Angels
and human women. Read Genesis 6:4, and you will see this is clearly a misreading of
Scripture. At least, according to how
they twist the scriptures to make their old/new idea plausible, we can see how
the fallen angels had the decency to marry the women they wanted to
violate.
Let us
take a look at this idea of Noah’s racial purity:
(Gen
6:8) But Noah found grace in the eyes of the YHWH. (His Name restored)
(Gen
6:9) These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
(Gen
6:10) And Noah begat three sons,
Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
(Gen
6:11) The earth also was corrupt before God, and
the earth was filled with violence. KJV
We need to back up a bit –
(Gen
5:28) And Lamech lived an
hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:
(Gen
5:29) And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of
our hands, because of the ground which the YHWH has cursed.
(Gen
5:30) And Lamech lived
after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:
Some of you reading these verses will have caught it. Noah was not the only one of the same racial
makeup us as himself, he had brothers and sisters, but only Noah found Favor in
the eyes of YaHWeH. His perfection was
not in his DNA as some try and do teach it was in his actions, in his conduct,
in his worship of the true God.
His parents acknowledge the God of Creation by their naming of their son Noah. They mention the cruse and obviously understood its meaning. What his sisters and brothers did or thought we are not told, only that Noah found favor with YaHWeH.
Now we can go back and read, again, what it meant for Noah to be found perfect in all his generations, back to Genesis 6:8-11, where we started. Out of all his generations only he was found righteous or perfect in his conduct and worship of the true God. It had nothing to do with his purity of blood, blood that is common to all men – all nations of people of ONE BLOOD.
(Act
17:25-26) Neither is worshipped with men's
hands, as though he needed anything, seeing He gives to all life, and breath,
and all things; And has made of one blood all nations of men
for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their
habitation;
Noah was not exceptional
in this. All men, no matter what race
have the same blood – no blood, no life.
We are told what made Noah exceptional.
We are told that he was
a Preacher of Righteousness. What
defines “righteousness”? By following
the Law of Love for our Creator which in turns leads to love for one another. By Faith we believe, as Noah did, the Words
of our Creator as opposed to the words of men.
(Heb 11:7) By faith
Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared
an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he
condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
(2Pe
2:5) And spared not the old world, but
saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness,
bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
And our Lord said:
(Luke
17:27) They did eat, they
drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day
that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and
destroyed them all.
Who are “they”, whom YaHshua
is talking about? It is not angels, but
men. Nowhere does our Saviour mention “fallen
angels”, or even the sin of angels having anything to do with the Flood that
took them -- all the generations of mankind that were alive in his days,
during Noah’s time – only Noah was found worthy or perfect in his (those)
generations.
Special Note: YaHshua says they “…married
wives and they were given in marriage”. Going
back to Genesis you see He is not talking about angels, as some teach
concerning Genesis 6:1-4, but human men and human women – that aside for a
moment – If in those generations of mankind had become so wicked why did they
bother with the sanctity of marriage? I
used to wonder about this all the time, then I understood it, perhaps as many
of you already see and understand it, it took me awhile to see it.
Even in these days, in our time now, are very similar to the days of Noah,
people go about getting married, some don’t but it is every woman’s (most) desire
to have a wedding and get married, even when they are shacking up with a
boyfriend, even when they are having babies out of wedlock, their desire is for
their man to put a ring on the finger. Sad, but true. Oh,
there may be a couple that don’t feel that way, but most do – and – that explains
it. They are not getting married because
the Creator God said so, not because Marriage is sacred to Him, no, they are
getting married for their own lusts. Many go to the alter to say their vows and
the Creator God is the furthest thing from their minds and divorce is right
around the corner – pledge “forever” full well knowing in the back of their
minds that if it gets tiresome or isn’t fun anymore they can get a divorce, no
problem – the vows are hallow. Then as
now, so the generations in the days of Noah, were getting married, not because
it was sacred or a true commitment in honor of their Creator. For the Kings or those called the “sons of
God” we see it was the lust of the flesh, of the eye that led them to marry
outside of their original faith. But our
Savior’s remark is all inclusive, meaning everyone, not just “sons of God” but
everyone. I will bet even the whores
wore white to their weddings. For those
of you who have forgotten or never knew, the bride wearing white meant she was
a virgin, now do you see the joke on modern society?
This teaching that
Noah was racially pure comes from those in various religious organizations to
paint themselves as something special.
But there is another group, mostly Evangelicals that also teach this “racially
pure Noah” in their efforts build up their false doctrine teaching that “angels
married human women”, all based off four verses – Genesis 6:1-4. The teachers of this false twist of
scripture, goes like this – The Angels of God took wives from among men, and
then had giant babies they called the Nephilim, the Hercules of the day, blood
crossing with “angels of God”. From
those four verses they gather all of this, a total misreading. From this, they
go on to explain the “perfection” of Noah is to be found in his blood purity,
not having intermingled with the Nephilim, as they say the rest of the world
had.
This idea about Noah
being racially pure while everyone else had been mixed with the nephilim then
Noah would have to have come from a racially pure family, no other way, his DNA would have been inherited. Think about it -- if it were true then this
would mean all of human kind were giants, or Nephilim, except for Noah – it would
mean those with Noah, his sons, were a product of the angels and were
themselves Nephilim, so how could Noah be their father? Hey wait maybe that is how Noah built such a
big boat, his giant sons would be up to the task, no problem, right? It should be obvious how ridiculous this is –
for one thing it would not have taken 120 years to build the Ark. And for anyone weak in the head and having
thought of that, just remember, Noah and his sons took 120 Years to build this
boat – no, they were not giants and apparently they did not hire any giants to
help them or they could have finished in only a few years.
Anyway, the giants
reported to have existed from the sons of god taking wives were 4,400 feet tall
– this, according to the Book of Enoch – some downgrade this to 440 feet tall,
and other to 240 feet, but the Book of Enoch says 300 cubits, which is 4,400
feet. They would have sunk the boat,
being taller than the Ark was long and Noah’s sons would have to have a mother
that slept with a fallen angel – that can’t be right because we are told these
supposed angels married the women and their m other was already Noah’s
wife, besides, these three are called the “sons of Noah”, so they too would be
racially pure, if that is what Genesis 6:9 really meant – if Noah was racially
pure then so too his sons. We have
already seen the answer to Noah’s perfection -- Noah was a preacher of
righteousness, and it would seem no one was listening.
Another Noah type was Elijah
(EliYaH), much later, found himself in the same situation, seemingly the only
one out of all Israel praying to the only True God, while Israel, the Northern
tribes, at that time, were setting up their own religion based on Baal
worship. The Babylonians worship the
same god but called him Bel. There are
several examples in the history surrounding Israel and the Gentile nations of
people calling themselves sons of god.
Kings liked this title and they did take wives from other nations and
from among the common people, whomever they fancied. No one suggests the kings in those days,
even in the days of Abraham were “angels”.
The king of Israel,
Ahab, had married outside of the founding religion of all Israel. He, like the “sons of God” in Genesis 6 married
a wife from among the surrounding pagans, the infamous Jezebel and we are given
some insight as to how this “son of God” looked at marrying outside of his religion
–
(1Ki
16:30) Ahab son of Omri
did more evil in the eyes of the YHWH than any of those before him.
(1Ki
16:31) He not only considered it trivial
to commit the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, but he
also married Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and began to serve Baal and worship him. (He took on
the god of his wife)
In Noah’s day and
before, the Kings of the original worship of YaHWeH took wives,
thinking is was a trivial matter – no big
deal. The whole world, save Noah, had
turned to the pagan gods of their wives, eventually leaving only Noah and his
wife and sons calling on the true God and Creator, YaHWeH. So, the flood came because all had gone so
far away from YaHWeH that if He allowed this to continue all would be
lost. Because Noah remained pure to his
faith and belief, believing YaHWeH when he was told about the coming flood, and
in faith he acted accordingly. Following
YaHWeH’s instructions he began building this huge boat, all on faith, that
YaHWeH meant what He said.
Reading Genesis
chapters 6 and 7 you will see there is no mention of fallen angels. It is all about men and their continuing
fall. The sons of God, so they were
called once, taking wives from the surround pagan, heathens because they saw
many pretty ladies and lusted for them.
I may also have been as much political as lust of the flesh, for we read
that their offspring became men of renown, famous among all the people as they
corrupt the true worship exchanging it for the god of forces, or of destruction,
becoming ever more violent.
The Book of Genesis makes no mention of angels
scrambling for survival. Certainly the
fallen angels would have seen what was coming, knowing YaHWeH and His power,
wouldn’t they have built for themselves boats to save their Nephilim
children? But no, what we read is all
about men and what they did or did not do.
All of mankind not listening to this Preacher of
Righteousness, Noah. We are told 120 years passed as Noah and his sons
built the Ark of their salvation. 120
years was set for the world of men to repent and they did not, acting in their
disbelief, they all perished. 120 years
would be enough time to build this giant boat and for the message, the warning,
to go out to the whole world. 120 years
to repent and not one did. Certain men
and women back then were intelligent but like people today they chose to ignore
their Creator for gods that cannot speak, that cannot do good or bad. This is convenient, of course, the leaders,
the kings, the priests they can then make their own rules and use their religions
as a means of control and to even gain worship for themselves. Like the Egyptians and the Babylonian Kings
after them, thinking themselves to be gods.
All of this leads to war and a world filled with violence. Just like today.
King David Faces a Nephilim
Someone will
eventually point to the Nephilim in the time of King David. But remember, this exotic word, nephilim,
means only “giants”, people of unusual stature, compared to the norm of the
day. These giant people were from one
family and all were killed by David and his champions. These giant people from this family were not
escapees from the flood, but a hybrid of humanity, actually not better, not
like one would imagine a child of angel spirit beings, no, they clumsy and like
people we know of today that have grown to unusual proportions with all sorts
of physical problems. No one dares
suggest these modern giants are the product of fallen angels, so why do some
preachers today teach this false teaching that before the flood and in the days
of King David were?
Another thing about
the giant family in the days of Israel, none of them were anywhere near the
stature the fabled writings tell us about, some have been just as tall as the
nephilim King David and his men fought and killed. What we read in the Book of Enoch, a pure
work of fiction (a quote from the Book of Enoch, coming up). The Giants, or Nephilim, pre-flood, were said
to have grown to a height of 240 feet – the Book of Noah actually says 4,440
feet, but the teachers have to downsize to get some people to believe in the
impossible and buy their books and DVDs.
Their main source for this heresy has collected into a book of fiction erroneously
called the Book of Enoch, not really a single book authored by the Enoch of the
pre-flood period but a collection of questionable writing into a book men have
title, Book of Enoch. What a sham, what
a crock of fantasy that some are trying to turn into truth, even to claiming it
is a “doctrine” of the early Church and therefore should be our doctrine too. You can find copies of this Book of Enoch on
the internet, and read it for yourself (Hang on, a
sample from this book is quoted below).
While it is provocative and makes for an entertaining story it is just
that, a story made up, in a wild effort to fill in what many believe was left
out of the Scriptures. Left out for a
reason, it is not true, it is a work of fiction the work of the minds of men,
and perhaps influenced by, you guessed it, Satan. It glorifies the misunderstood rebel angels, picturing
these poor angels for trying to help mankind, not harm them – the Creator and
His Angels are painted as mean and unfair.
The fallen angels take an oath to do as they will to help mankind and
are credited with teaching men how to write, a high sin, apparently adding to
the knowledge of mankind – remember the tree of Knowledge, this is the
reasoning. Then, by this reasoning and
the Book of Enoch this is a sin the Apostles of Christ engaged in as well,
writing about our Lord in the Gospel. You
can see how ridiculous this book is when held up to the Word. Before pulling a quote from the infamous Book
of Enoch consider the following.
(2Pe
2:1) But there were false prophets
also among the people (Israel-Judah), even as there shall be false teachers
among you, who privily (lead aside) shall bring in
damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
(2Pe
2:2) And many shall follow their
pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil
spoken of.
(2Pe
2:3) And through covetousness shall
they with feigned words (words made up) make merchandise of you: whose judgment
now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation
slumbereth not.
Let’s read this again
in a modern translation where the Old English words are brought into the light
of day for the modern ear to hear and eyes to see –
(2Pe
2:1) But there were also false
prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the
sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves.
(2Pe
2:2) Many will follow their shameful
ways and will bring the way of
truth into disrepute.
(2Pe
2:3) In their greed these teachers will
exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their
destruction has not been sleeping. NIV
This is the backbone
of the argument against such
heresy: “…denying the Lord who
purchased them with His blood”. How
is that, you ask? By suggesting fallen
angels have the capacity to procreate they deny the miracle birth of our Savior
as nothing more than something common among angels. This is an insult to the
Angelic beings called into our service and overseers of the Children of
God. This kind of teaching leads many
into the worship of angels, Fallen Angels, suggesting they have creative
powers. You will notice to – Peter does
not say these heresies come from without the people of God but from
within. Today we do not have to look
very far to see these men introducing and having introduced false worship and
turning those purchase with His Blood, as they to
were, from the truth and to fables, to things made up – fiction! Isn’t it odd how so many preachers, claiming the
Holy Word to be true then engage in writing books of fiction themselves? Telling tales that attempt to rewrite
Scripture, now, today, and even back before, from whence the Book of Enoch is said
to have come. Here is a sample of what
is in that book of fiction, a book these false teachers draw on to tempt you
away from the pure and true Word.
Now, From the
Book of Enoch:
7.2 And they became pregnant and
bore large giants. And their height was
three thousand cubits.
7.3 These devoured all the toil
of men; until men were unable to sustain
them.
7.4 And the giants turned against them in order to
devour men.
7.5 And they began to sin
against birds, and against animals, and against
reptiles,
and against fish, and they devoured one another's flesh, and drank
the blood from it.
Three thousand cubits is equal to 4,500 feet. Of course this is silly, so some of the apologist for the Book of Enoch have down sized this to 450 feet in height, saying it has to be a mistranslation and means only 300 cubits, and it is still a ridiculous number, so, others, on the more conservative side downsize even more to 250 feet in height. But wait let’s get back into the real world. According to the Book of Enoch, they were 4,500 feet tall. Now, tell me this is not a book of fantasy or fables?
All kinds of angels are mentioned in this tale and only a couple appears in the Holy Scriptures. The Book of Enoch points to fallen angles as being the reason for the fall of man – the devils made them do it. Adam and Eve were innocent bystanders as were all of innocent mankind. Now, back to the real world, with fresh eyes, having dispelled this false teaching and we read in the following verses, not one word about fallen angels let alone angels taking wives for themselves.
(Gen
6:5) YaHWeH saw how great man's wickedness on the earth
had become, and that every
inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.
What? No mention of angels, fallen or otherwise, so
which word is true? Which word do you
stand on as the truth? It was MAN’S
wickedness, it was mankind, it was in those generations of man that were the
wicked and had thoughts of evil all the time.
Let us read on --
(Gen 6:6) YaHWeH
was grieved that He had made man on the earth, and His heart was filled
with pain.
Again, no mention of
evil angels being the cause of this – YaHWeH/YaHshua, was sorry He had made man
– not angels, but “man” and “on the Earth”.
Total silence and no mention of fallen angels being the cause of this Heavenly
regret – read on through Genesis in this chapter and chapter 7 from your own
bible – NO ANGEL and NO NEPHILIM mentioned, only the WICKEDNESS of MEN. In His sorrow our Creator was moved to take drastic
action ending in a worldwide flood.
There is always a point of no return, and they had reached it, no
possibility of repentance, only Noah. If
our Creator had allowed this to continue then Noah would have died and that
would have left no one worth saving and then we would not be here. We are going to see a time like this again. Many will deny it, with sayings like, “Man is
basically good”, and “Given enough time the better nature of man will do the
right thing”, and again, “Given enough time man will save himself”. Now we know why we need a Savior. Most want to be good and want others to act
decently but so long as there is evil in the world the people desiring peace
will be forced to violence themselves to protect or to stop the evil. Look at our history, not of any particular
people, or races, all are of sin all have blood on their hands. Does it seem we are getting any better? No, we are moving toward those days of Noah,
again, and if it had not been for YaHshua having died for us we would be
destroyed too. We are warned about this
possibility and the need for our Creator to cut short the days of destruction –
(Mat 24:22)
If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the
sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
And
what days are those our Lord YaHshua is talking about?
(Mat
24:15-16) So when you see standing in the
holy place 'the abomination
that causes desolation,' spoken of
through the prophet Daniel--let the reader understand-- then let those who are
in Judea flee to the mountains.
(Mat
24:21) For then there will be great
distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now-- and never to be
equaled again.
(Mat
24:23) At that time if anyone says to
you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do
not believe it.
(Mat
24:24) For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great
signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible.
Here our Lord and
Savior gives us, the elect, a key to being able to distinguish between the “false
Christ, and Christs” – if you have to be told where
He is, where the true Messiah is, then it is not Him. It is either not Him or you are not one of
the “elect”. The elect are His sheep and
they hear the voice of their shepherd. When He returns and says to the dead
saints and those still alive, “Come up here”, and then we will be with Him. If someone has to tell you He is on that
mountain or in that field or desert
or temple, don’t believe it because it will not be Him. This is all you need to know in order to keep
from falling for all of the fake miracles and signs the corrupted will perform
trying to confuse and trick the “called out ones”, the very “elect” or
God. This is the path, the only path to
salvation, in our saving Ark, YaHshua. Hear
what YaHshua says --
(Mat
24:25-27) See, I have told you ahead of
time. So if anyone tells you, 'There He is, out in the desert,' do not go out;
or, 'Here He is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is
visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
This is a heads up
warning and our Lord YaHshua repeats it.
He tells us what His coming will be like. The word for “lightening” would better be
translated as “sun”, for the sun appears to travel from east to west and shine
upon the whole earth as it does, so shall this be likened to His coming. You will not have to be told, you will see
it, you will experience it. Believe Him, not the words of men or fake Christs, even if they show many signs and miracle. This is another reason we cannot trust in
miracles as we approach the end days of man’s rule, of Satan’s rule on this
Earth.
We can and must attain
the same purity, the same perfection in our own generations so we can answer
the question our Lord asked before He left to return from where He came, to sit
next to our Heavenly Father – He is the Only true SON of GOD – and He, YaHshua
is not going around having sex with women (forgive me Father for even mentioning
such a thing). If we read Revelation 14
correctly, we are being told the “sons of God”, like YaHshua, are not fathers,
or marrying women, either religious or in the flesh, but are like the true Son
of God – literally virgins. Also, we are
told straight out that angels are not sons – and if not then what? Servants!
Consider these truths –
(Heb
1:5) For to which of the angels did God ever say,
"You are my Son; today I have become your Father" ?
Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"
?
(Heb
1:13-14) To which of the angels did God ever say,
"Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet" ? Are not all
angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit
salvation?
According to some
commentators God the Father apparently called angels his sons in Job? Something is wrong here, and we are told in
the final remark of verse 14, “Are not ALL angles ministering spirits sent
to serve those who will inherit salvation?”
And we have a confirmation of what Paul is saying and quoting from the
Old Testament Psalm 2:7. While the
translators refer to angels as “sons of GOD” in Job they must not have
correctly used this Hebrew word, Bane or Bene, for son. Look up this word in a Hebrew Dictionary you
find many other choices, “servant” among them, and “children” the latter being
its use most often, and then look up “angel” and you find it means “messenger”,
and in Genesis 6:2 if “angel” was meant, it would have read, either “angel” or “messenger”
or even “servant” as we will read this is the very definition and powerful
Angel of the Lord gave for himself. This
definition would fit what Paul is teaching too, “Servants” not actual “sons”. Again, we have this record of a mighty angel defining
himself to John in the Book of Revelation as a “servant”.
(Rev 19:10) And I
fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony
of YaHshua: worship God: for the testimony of YaHshua is the spirit of prophecy.
(“Testimony”, in the Greek is to say, “evidence”, and “prophecy” is to say, “prediction”
– prophecy predicted YaHshua)
The purity or perfection of Noah has everything
to do with this false teaching. Keep in
mind, as we go further into this uncovering of the real truth. Noah is said to have been racially pure and
that is why his Creator saved him and his family. We have already see how this cannot be the
case. It would mean his whole family
would have had a pure blood line. The false
teachers want you to think the “angels” of old began to experiment with human
DNA, crossing “alien angels” with human kind.
Once we fully understand the diabolical source and reason for this
heresy and how it is infesting the Church, all churches then we can see the
true meaning concerning Noah and his “generation” of wickedness. We need to know this because of our Lord’s
warning that the latter days would become just like the days of Noah. Yes, we need to know, but to let fantasy and
fables rule and overshadow the doctrine of the Christ our Savior, YaHshua is a
sin in itself. Let’s continue to work
this out starting with a general comment (note) from a Bible growing in
popularity. The view it presents is similar
to those of other Study Bibles and notes found in the margins of other bibles.
NET Note and Comment:
A Note from the NET
(New English Translation) bible, about Genesis 6:2, “sons of god”. The NET bible
has gained a lot of respect among scholars and serious bible students as
well. The comment in this note is a
reflection on other similar notes found in modern translations. We need to remember, “notes”
and “comment sidebars” are not Scripture, only a man, or men’s opinion,
educated opinions, to be sure, but still, these scholars bring in preconceived
ideas. Read this carefully and consider
my comments on this note, not disrespecting the research but broadening the
view with other considerations and not picking on the NET, as said before, this
NET Note is a copy of what others before them and after have expressed, not hiding
their preferential reading that the “sons of god” actually means, “angels of god” -- this reflects how and why this heresy is
being accepted by the modern church.
NET Note: 4 The Hebrew phrase translated “sons of God” (בְנֵי־הָאֱלֹהִים, b˙ne-ha’elohim) occurs only here (Gen 6:2, 4) and in Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7. There are three major interpretations of the phrase here. (1) In the Book of Job the phrase clearly refers to angelic beings. In Gen 6 the “sons of God” are distinct from “humankind,” suggesting they were not human. This is consistent with the use of the phrase in Job. Since the passage speaks of these beings cohabiting with women, they must have taken physical form or possessed the bodies of men. An early Jewish tradition preserved in 1 En. 6-7 elaborates on this angelic revolt and even names the ringleaders. (2) Not all scholars accept the angelic interpretation of the “sons of God,” however. Some argue that the “sons of God” were members of Seth’s line, traced back to God through Adam in Gen 5, while the “daughters of humankind” were descendants of Cain. (3) Others identify the “sons of God” as powerful tyrants, perhaps demon-possessed, who viewed themselves as divine and, following the example of Lamech (see Gen 4:19), practiced polygamy. But usage of the phrase “sons of God” in Job militates against this view. For literature on the subject see G. J. Wenham, Genesis (WBC), 1:135.
Clearly, the scholars that compiled this note come down on the side of the “sons of God” being “angels”. Seeing the problem with this they make the assumption that these angels must have accomplished this by “possessing human men”, and where do we read this? Well, nowhere in the Holy Bible, only in their note. But even in their sources they do not find this use of men as proxy husbands for taking wives. The source they do grab hold of is non-biblical, and, in fact, from Jewish fables, “An early Jewish tradition preserved in 1 En. 6-7…”. Now that is just great, they quote the Book of Enoch as a source, a source of Jewish fables for support. Why not quote Aesope’s Fables as biblical fact?
(1Ti
1:4) Neither give
heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister
questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
(Tit
1:13-14) This witness is true. Wherefore
rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the
truth.
(1Ti
4:7) But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto
godliness.
Using fabled
writings to support an argument for a false doctrine is similar to modern
scholars quoting the fable called Jack and the Bean Stalk. What, no one thinks the ancients ever wrote
fiction or fairy tale stories? Are we to
assume the ancients were always so serious as to not engage in fictional
writings? There is even the possibility
that youngsters back in those days may have even engaged in graffiti. But, no, it seems some of our most brilliant
minds are stuck in thinking everything they read is not of a fictional nature, especially
if it supports a preconceived idea. In
the NET note, as in other Bible notes found in other Study Bibles it appears to
be more fun to suggest that there really were Hercules, many of them, half man,
and half god – I mean, angel. Oh, and
don’t forget, the source they quote for us is the Book of Enoch, and don’t
forget this is also the same source that says these Herculean children ranged
anywhere from 250 feet to 4,300 feet tall, depending on who is telling you the
story, or excusing the Book of Enoch for exaggerating. What, are we to suppose the ancients never
wrote fiction, never engaged in fantasy story telling? What fools are we to think humans in ages
gone by only wrote truth. Yes, they
recognized tales told, but when someone says one of these “tall” tales is
scripture, well, then it must be true (I’m being sarcastic again). This is the sin also, claiming such writings
are equal to the Holy Word of the Living God.
We have books
today that cover all facets of our lives, and books on just about every topic,
and books of fiction galore. It would
seem logical the ancients had their share of authors of fiction and other
writing too. Is the Flood a
fiction? No, because we know our Savior,
YaHshua, spoke of the Flood and of Noah, but He never spoke of angels taking
wives, ever. In fact He did tell us that
angels do not marry. They seem to appear
in a male form when they make themselves visible, but in fact they are
something else, something beyond physical males or females – this is according
to our Savior, YaHshua, they do not marry.
(Mat 22:30) For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor
are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
When Noah and
his family entered the Ark it was three sons, three wives of the son’s and Noah’s
wife – eight people. Just from this
observation alone we can see YaHWeH was not selecting Noah because he had not diluted
his blood by mixing with others and his DNA was not chanted by hanging out with
the Nephilim. As we have seen, Noah was
a “preacher of righteousness”, this was his perfection, he
had not succumbed to the evils of the world even though he was surrounded by
it. Violence was, apparently, the mark
of the people of the time, war like and bloody, but Noah had refrained by
setting his hand against others. Perhaps it meant he had never killed
anyone. Some savage tribes and nations
have this mark of violence on their spirit, the killing of another human being
as proof they are a man or loyal to whatever evil cause they embrace. Just speculating, of course, just covering
some other possibilities and before you tell me that is all the heretics are
doing think again – they are touting their teaching as a doctrine, a doctrine
accepted by the early church.
Please
consider this defense of Scripture and the words of our Savior YaHshua. And hear the warning from our Lord, “…as the
days of Noah…” a righteous man. A
righteous man or woman do the “right” things even in
times of trouble.
